Mahalo today co.

Danielle lives on the island of O’ahu in Hawai’i. She finds inspiration for her creations in the everyday beauty of nature in the island lifestyle. Mahalo Today Co. was started during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the lockdown orders, for a while one of the only activities allowed on O’ahu was to go to the beach and go fishing. On these fishing trips with her boyfriend, Danielle began to find sea glass and many beautiful shells. She started making jewelry with the treasures she found on the beaches of Hawai’i. When a new night market opened in her small town, Danielle knew she wanted to share her jewelry creations with others in her community. 

In addition to creating unique pieces of handmade jewelry, Danielle is also an accomplished watercolor artist. She has been drawing and painting since she was a child and began to explore the watercolor medium in 2018, eventually taking some classes at the Honolulu Museum of Art School. Danielle’s artistic style is colorful and bright, featuring landscapes, florals, and abstract themes inspired by various places in the islands.

“Mahalo” is the Hawaiian word for “Thank You”. The idea behind the name “Mahalo Today Co.” is to acknowledge the everyday opportunities to practice gratitude..
